He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Irvin Karon and Bridget Karon (Kieltyka); his wife Colleen Karon (Quinn); his sisters, Susan Hawk and Diane Johnson (Karon); his children, Kathy Delong (Karon) of Wyandotte and Christopher Karon of Pleasant View, Tennesee.; his stepchildren, Ryan Harris (Sarah) and Erin (Al); and his grandchildren, Kelsey Granger, Allyssa Delong, Maddie Marquardt, Riley Harris, Erich Sawallich and Evalee Sawallich.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
