He was predeceased by: his parents, Einard Kangas and Mary Alina Kangas (Honkavaara); and his sister Mary Aileen Kushnir. He is survived by: his wife Caroline Leah Perkins of Fowlerville, Michigan; his stepdaughters, Leah Rose Tackett (James) of Weatherford and Kathy Ann Burch of Mason, Michigan; his sister Vernamae Hibbeln of Green, Michigan; his grandchildren, Trisha Burch Abraham (Michael) of Mason, Thomas James Johnson (Abigail) of Youngstown, Tara Varghese (Dany) of Oklahoma City, Andrew Tackett of Sayre and Lindsay Tackett of Weatherford, Oklahoma; his nephew Scott Colman of Hamburg, Michigan; and his nieces, Mari Lynn Faroni of Bessemer, Karen June Dennis of Farmington and Robin Aileen Dymond of Howell, Michigan. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.
