He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Doris; his sons, Joseph J. Vassar (Joann) and David M. Vassar (Joell); his siblings-in-law, Vince Tabone and Gertrude Borg; his sisters, Rita Smith and Marie Tabone; and his parents, Agnes Vassallo and Michael Vassallo.
