We are sad to announce that on June 4, 2023, at the age of 83, Jose Benitez Fernandez of Flat Rock, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Margarita Fernandez (Benitez) and Juan Pedro Fernandez. He is survived by: his wife Catharina Lapastina Fernandez; his sons, John Fernandez (Cynthia), Tito Fernandez and Ricardo Fernandez; his grandchildren, Bianca Herrera (Giancarlo), Giovanni Fernandez, Mackenzie Fernandez and Sydney Fernandez; his great grandchildren, Elijah Herrera, Vincenzo Herrera and Valentina Herrera; and his sister Pilar Fernandez Benitez.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
