It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lee Hewelt (Ferndale, Michigan), who passed away on November 28, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Natalie; and his siblings, Anthony, Robert, William, Roland Hewelt, Betty Matteson and Virginia Westmore.

He is survived by: his children, Timothy Hewelt (Jacki), Barbara Felts and Susanne Sommer (Dave); his grandchildren, Jeremy Shaw (Bonnie), Theron Shaw (Amy), Julie Row (Dave), Amy Walker (Dave), Chad Felts, Kristin Felts, Damien Sommer (Cadie), Trevor Sommer and Hillary Sommer; and his son Clarkston.
