With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Elizabeth Thatcher (Ferndale, Michigan), born in Madison Heights, Michigan, who passed away on January 6, 2019 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Ainsworth and Clara Ainsworth; and her siblings, Esther Havira (late John), Mary Jean Ainsworth and Lawrence Ainsworth.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Thatcher (Katheryn), William Thatcher (Deborah) and Elizabeth Meray (Paul); her grandchildren, Matthew Thatcher (Meghan), Jonathan Thatcher (Trista), Erin Thatcher, Dean Meray and Rachel Meray; her great grandchildren, Andrew, Abigail and Corinne; and her sibling-in-law Dorothy Ainsworth. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or Detroit Public Television are appreciated.
