She was predeceased by: her father Sam Ma'Ayteh (Bryan Hughes). She is survived by: her children, Joanie Hughes and Jack Zuniga (Maria); her grandchildren, Jack and Amelia; and also, Charlie and Olive.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Sylvia's family.
