He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Christopher Karaus, Sr. and Margaret Karaus (Doffing); his daughter Donna Marie Karaus; and his brother Gustav Karaus, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Delores Ann Marie Karaus (Kopacz); his children, Edward Karaus, Diana Decker (Vern Beilfuss) and Theresa Wiley; and his siblings, Ken Karaus (Dorothy), Margaret Harshberger, Lorraine Henry and Joyce Krzemen. He is also survived by six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
