He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Grim and Virginia Grim; and his parents-in-law, Harold Whaley and Olive Whaley (Laverty). He is survived by: his spouse Lynn Laverty; his children, Nicholas Grim (Katie) of Grand Blanc and Erica (Benjamin Cook) of Ovid; his grandchildren, Benjamin Cook, Amelia Cook, Charlotte Grim, Natalie Grim and Madelyn Grim; his brother Charles "Bill" Grim (Linda) of Cadillac; and also, Larry Laverty of Farwell, Mignon Laverty of Farwell, John Laverty of Farwell and Jane Laverty of Farwell.
