He is survived by: his wife Sue Dickson Carlson; his children, Anita Winter (Michael), Ardith Burford (Gilbert), David Carlson (Kristin) and Daniel Carlson; his grandchildren, Douglas, Nicholas, Erica Winter, Andrea Snitchler, Lauren, Colin Burford, Noah, Jacob, Kaci and Nicole Carlson; and his siblings, Joseph S. Carlson and Adele Adams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
