It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Elizabeth Johnson (Essexville, Michigan), who passed away on September 7, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward VanSumeren and Irene VanSumeren (Wiedyk); her parents-in-law, Theodore and Margaret Johnson (Cahalan); her brother Edward "Bud"; and her sister-in-law Donna VanSumeren.
She is survived by: her husband John "Mick" Johnson; her children, Michelle Smigiel, Jill Moore (Todd) and James Johnson; her granddaughters, Emily Smigiel and Hailey Moore; her sisters, Judy Tacey (Richard), Elizabeth Hugo (Alan) and Kathy Douponce (Mark); and her siblings-in-law, LeRoy and Mary Kaye Parlberg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
