He was predeceased by: his son Lawrence C. Hess Jr; and his siblings, Louise Uhrman, Frances Crum and Joan Strok. He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Ann Ellison of Florida, Linda Hester (Kris) of Florida, Kathryn Reid (Jeff) of Erie, Mary Harvey of Toledo and Dorothy Williams (Gary) of Perrysburg. He is also survived by one grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
