He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Carpenter (Brooks) and Bill Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Janice Sand; his sons, Dwayne Ross of Belle River, Ontario and Andy Ross (Jessica) of Lake City, MI; his granddaughter Madison Ross; his sisters, Rhonda Daining (Bryan) of Ellsworth and Fran Vanniman of Bellaire; his stepmother Trish Carpenter (Brooks) of Central Lake; and his nieces and nephews, Tim Daining (Kristy), John Daining (Bailey), Becky Phillips (Ty) and Alicia Kniss (Chad).
