It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacob Dekorne of Ellsworth, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James DeKorne and Rachel DeKorne (Wielhouwer); his wife Phyllis Fryling; his siblings, Marie, Jim and Annie; and his great grandchild Kenzi.
He is survived by: his children, Jacob Jr. DeKorne (Kathie) of Coopersville, Susan Neuman (Randy) of Hudsonville, Timothy DeKorne (Mary) of Mesick, Mark DeKorne (Mandy) of Pleasant Valley and Daniel DeKorne (Julie) of Kent City; and his siblings, Bud DeKorne (Judy), Ruth Densel, Jean Stevens and Robert DeKorne (Betty). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
