It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Hughes Sr. of East Jordan, Michigan, born in River Rouge, Michigan, who passed away on August 24, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Hughes and Rose Hughes (Dube); his wife Patsy Hughes; his son James Newville; his stepdaughter Carol Reasoner; his siblings, Lauren Hughes and Joyce Balduck; and his great grandchild Wendell Powell III.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary Patton (Will) of East Jordan; his grandchildren, Amanda Lackie of Cadillac, Rosemary Amman (Chris) of Elmira, Jaymz Hughes of North Carolina, Aaron Hughes of North Carolina, Jamie Powell of Warren and Wendell Powell of Warren; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Connor, Emma, Alex, Zander and Charlie; and his stepchildren, Robert Williams (Joy) of Caro, Lee Williams (Debi) of Caro, Craig Williams of Johannesburg, Timothy Williams of Detroit, Cheryl Touchton (Dave) of Madison Heights and Patsy Simons (Mike) of Grand Rapids.
