It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Goebel Sr. of East Jordan, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 6, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Goebel and Catherine Ann Goebel (Wenderling); his son Walter "Butch", Jr.; his daughter-in-law Marilyn J. Goebel; his daughter Catherine Everett of East Jordan; and his grandson Walter P. Goebel, III.
He is survived by: his children, Patty R. Sutton (Roger) of Apache Junction, Arizona, Robert S. Goebel (Barbara) of Bay Harbor and Timothy J. Goebel (Peggy) of Williamsburg, Michigan; his son-in-law Dale Everett of East Jordan; and his grandchildren, Tracee Goebel (Ryan Shelden) of Long Beach, Nichole Imel (Matt) of East Jordan, Jennifer Banfield (Brian) of East Jordan, Joe Goebel (Dan) of San Diego, Stephen Goebel (Pete) of Henderson, Koryne E. Goebel of Petoskey, Trina McFarland (Toby) of Petoskey, Barbara Schroeder (Corey) of East Jordan, Jamie Moblo (Jayson) of East Jordan, Robert Everett (Heather) of Whitehall, Nathan Goebel of Traverse City, Britney Goebel of Traverse City, Matt Sutton (Rhonda) of Mesa, Nick Sutton (Katie) of Phoenix and Katy Dodd (Ryan) of Gilbert, Arizona. He is also survived by twenty-two great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
