She was predeceased by: her parents, Ole Edward and Edna Edith Nielsen (Cunningham); her grandson Daniel Paul Whiteford; her great great grandchild Paisley Marie; and her son-in-law John Makara.
She is survived by: her husband James Stephen Shepard of East Jordan; her children, Donna Makara of Lansing, Sandi Whiteford (John) of East Jordan, Jim Shepard (Anita) of Hudsonville and Debbie Schroeder (Tim) of East Jordan; her great grandchildren, Jourdan, Landen, Alexis, Rylan, Chyna, Wyatt, Aries, Lillie, Jeremiah, Oliver, Leo, Shayna, Brooke, Logan, Cody, Shiann, Roz, Ethan, Alley, Hunter, Parker, Dillon, Madison, Connor, Elisabeth, Sadie, Richard, Amelia and Skyler; her great great grandchildren, Payton, Violet, Oliver, Connor and Dakota; and her sister Barb Cihak (Buck) of East Jordan.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lighthouse Missionary Church (7824 Rogers Rd, East Jordan, MI 49727). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the Shepard Family Scholarship Fund at the Charlevoix County Community Foundation or Grandvue Medical Care Facility Horizon Vue Unit.
