He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Leonard and Vivian Leonard (Spinner). He is survived by: his wife Linda Leonard; his children, Michele Tatro (Earl Bennett), Michael Leonard (Kristie), Stephanie Leonard and Ray Delano; his grandsons, David, Nick Tatro, Maxwell and Jack Leonard; his great grandchildren, Zackary and Malea White; his siblings, Jack Leonard and Judy Lester; and his friend Lacy.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Blue Water Area Humane Society or St. John's United Church of Christ, Marine City.
