She was predeceased by: her parents, R. Lyle Parker and Dorothy Parker (Nicholson); her husband Douglas Smith; her daughter Sherrie A. Detwiler; and her sister Phyllis Weurding.
She is survived by: her sons, Larry Smith (Mandy) of Prescott, AZ. and B. Scott Smith (Theresa) of Decatur, MI.; her sister Katie Parker Ebbers (Bert) of Pellston, MI.; and her great grandchildren, Emily and Jasper Parsons. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Decatur, MI. where Marian was a life-long member.
