He is survived by: his wife Sandra Deal (Nash); his children, Carol Albain (late David), Beverly Roberts (Ronn) and Daniel Deal; his grandchildren, Troy Best, Jonathan Roberts, Matthew Deal (Nicole) and Michelle Roberts; his great grandchildren, Alya, Adryn, Aiden, Bella, Catalina, Ashley, Haley, Matthew, Jr. and Abby; and his brother Steven Deal (Lucy).
