He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Stover and Pearl Stover (Hether); his brother Elton Stover; his brother-in-law Donald Vanderlip; and his nephew Jerry Stover.

He is survived by: his wife Mal Sun "Sunny" Stover; and his sister Joyce Vanderlip of Lapeer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
