He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Vella and Victoria Vella (DeGuara); his grandson Gabriel Kushmaul; his sisters, Carmen Scicluna (George) and Mary Bartolo; and his brother-in-law Vince Bartolo.
He is survived by: his wife Mary L. Vella; his children, Anthony M. Vella (Dori Wilcox), Victoria E. Kushmaul (Wayne), Michele L. Chavez (Tony) and Joseph P. Vella (Kristy); his grandchildren, Samantha Talbot (Jessie), Lillian Vella-Whitman, Anthony Vella Jr., Matthew Vella, Joshua Baker, Andrew Baker, Emily-Rose Kushmaul, Brianna Vella, Katelyn Vella, Salina Chavez, Issac Chavez, Lucas Vella, Austin Vella and Janell Vella; his great grandchildren, Aliyah Green, Andrew Krohn, Ariel Krohn, Gunner Talbot, Mary Talbot and Aurora Whitman; his siblings, Paula Bartolo, Charles Vella (Shirley) and Rita Vella; and his nieces, Jennifer Anderson and Heather Nguyen (Phong). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and loving friends.
