He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Thon and Iva Thon (Enszer); and his siblings, Cliff, Paul, Raymond and Doris.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Mulherin; and his children, Christy Sommers (Russell), Lisa VanOchten and Kevin Thon (Jackie). He is also survived by his family and friends.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Swartz Creek United Methodist Church and Hilltop Church of God.
