He is survived by: his mother Dianne Smith-Coppedge; his daughter Sonya Maria Smith; his former wife Ana Ivan Smith; his sisters, Robin Hicks (Nathaniel Hicks) of Detroit, MI and Teresa Smith-Pena of Plymouth, MA; and his stepsister Peggy Lea of Missouri. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
