He is survived by: his wife Betty Tate; his children, Charles Martin and Katy Howard (Kyle); his grandchildren, Mara Arnold, Dane Martin, Macy Howard and Kyle Howard Jr.; his siblings, Marlon Hyatt (Sheila) and Rita Shelton; and his friend Harley Hopp of Alabama. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
