She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Stearns and Blanche Stearns (Parshall); her husband Ronald; her daughter Heather; and her brothers, Roy Stearns and Herb Gerber.

She is survived by: her children, Erin Peitz (Jim) of South Lyon and Kevin Emede (Janel) of Yakama, Washington; her grandchildren, Jack Peitz and Ellie Peitz; and her sister Barb Devers.
