He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Garrett and Bertha Garrett; his daughter Debra Brock; and his siblings, Albert Garrett and Betty McCullar.

He is survived by: his children, Ronald Garrett and Dawn Norton (Michael); and his brother Wayne Garrett (Chris). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
