He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeVries and Getruida DeVries (Smid); and his wife Eleanor Jean DeVries (Dangler). He is survived by: his children, Stephen DeVries (Beth) and Sue Hutting; and his grandchildren, Lisa Smith (Daniel), Robert DeVries (Valerie Warren), Sarah Baldwin (Jack Hutchins) and Melody Hutting (Joe Anderson). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
