He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Shaw and Ruth Shaw (Willet). He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his sons, Mark Shaw (Diane) of Greenville, David (Barbara) of Grand Rapids and Kevin (Shawna) of Grand Ledge; and his siblings, Robert, Judy (Edwards), Jim and Phil.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Calvary Baptist Church or The Gideons International.
