She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Vargo and Mary Vargo (Orban); her former husband Elmer Joseph Root; her husband Max Edwin Cooper; her sons, Steven Root, Jeffrey Cooper and Daniel Cooper; and her siblings, Tom Vargo, Robert "Junior" Vargo, Reginald Vargo and Shirley Franciosi.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Cooper (Jean) of Greenleaf, WI, Elmer "Joe" Cooper (Holly) of Owendale and Jerry Cooper (Renee) of Unionville; her daughter-in-law Sally Guernsey (Drew) of Tucson, AZ; her grandchildren, Jeremy Cooper, Dwana Cooper, Ryan Cooper, Brandy Patterson (Neville), Brent Cooper (An) and Kelsey Cooper; and her sister-in-law Joyce Vargo of Cass City. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
