He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Mellendorf and Erma Mellendorf (Hartwick); his grandson Gabriel Spencer; his siblings, Dale Mellendorf, June Ackerman (Don) and Janet Hartz (Dan); and his sister-in-law Helen Mellendorf.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Lee Gingrich; his daughters, Wendy Wright (Dave) of Cass City and Shelly Spencer (Matt) of Cass City; his grandchildren, Emily Kessinger (Christian) of Lynchburg, VA, Brady Wright (Alondra) of Saginaw, TX, Seth Spencer of Cass City and Noah Spencer of Cass City; and his siblings, Wayne Mellendorf of Cass City, Bruce Mellendorf (Bev) of Fairgrove, Clare Mellendorf (Ruth Ann) of Cass City, Joe Mellendorf (Sue) of Caro, Art Mellendorf (Romelle) of Kansas City, MO, Glen Mellendorf of Cass City and Ruth Jaworski (John) of Owendale. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
