He was predeceased by: his wife Judy; and his children, Jeff Finkbeiner, Dawn Finkbeiner and Clark Finkbeiner. He is survived by: his children, Susan LaBuhn (Bill) of Bad Axe, Sally Cooper (Elliot) of Cottonwood Heights, UT, Sharon Finkbeiner of Grand Rapids, Jon Finkbeiner (Rosemary) of Wilmot, James Finkbeiner (Tina) of Cass City and Donald L. Finkbeiner (Candy) of Cass City; his grandchildren, Kenny Kady (Kendra), Jeremy Kady (Jessica), Kayla Miros (Drew), Tim Finkbeiner, Ethan Finkbeiner, Ella Finkbeiner and Henry Cooper; and his great grandchildren, Maeson, Colten, Kloei, Braylon, Shyann and Avah. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
