He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Schuette and Frances Schuette (Loeffler); his siblings, Elmer Schuette and Gertrude Crump; and his siblings-in-law, Ben Crump, Gene Bennet, Fred Richmond, Bill Gibbs, Tom Gibbs and Ginger Gibbs.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Lee Gibbs; his sons, Craig Schuette (Kimberly) of Midland, Randall Schuette (Kathy LaPonsie) of Cass City, David Schuette (Jamie) of Unionville and Anthony Schuette (Shawna) of Snover; his grandchildren, Erin Tuckey (John), Olivia Schuette, Rainey, Jeffersen, Axel Schuette, Kaylee, Wyatt Schuette, Isaiah and Christopher Schuette; his great grandchildren, Jasper, Posie and Forrest Tuckey; his sisters, Eunice Richmond of Bay Port, Beatrice Marsh (Wilson) and Alice Bennet; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Schuette of Pigeon, Vernita Loeffler (Don) of Sebewaing, Joyce Smith of Bay City and Ron Gibbs of Caro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
