He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Benton and Alice Benton (Ball); his daughter Debra Sue Benton; and his brothers, Donald Benton and Rev. Dale Benton.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ward; his siblings, Christy Garcia (Leo) and Lorrainne Mabee; his sister-in-law Kathy Benton; and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Kara, Erin, Kathryn, Allison, Alexander, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Raymond, Jordan and Katie. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; and numerous other friends, family, nieces and nephews.
