He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kovacs and Matilda Kovacs (Horwath); his wife Naomi Wilson; and his grandson Gabriel Edgley. He is survived by: his children, Greg Kovacs (Connie Betz) of Caro and Dawn Edgley (Mark Handler) of Traverse City; his grandson Peter Edgley; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Dexter and Devin Edgley; and his sister Rosemary King.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Tuscola County Animal Shelter or the Tuscola County Medical Care Community.
