He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond LaJoie and Ellen LaJoie (Walsh); his siblings, Elaine Phillips (Raymond), Bernice Bashton, Margaret Kemp (Chester), Thomas LaJoie, Walter "Bud" LaJoie, Charles LaJoie and Donald LaJoie (Barb); and his brother-in-law Darrel Asay.
He is survived by: his daughter Debra Flikkie (Mark) of Caro; his siblings, Mary Asay of Texas, Esther Smith (Jack) of Caro, Roseann LaJoie of New Mexico, Edward LaJoie (Peggy) of Cass City and Robert LaJoie (Maxine) of Caro; his sister-in-law Beverly LaJoie; and his close friend Lola Cragg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
