It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Alan Gettel (Caro, Michigan), who passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Daniel Alan Gettel to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lydia Gettel (Witzke) and Vern Gettel; his siblings, Gloria Jane Gettel, Doris Lynn Nordstrom and Larry Dale Gettel; and his grandparents, Fred, Teofilge Henkel Witzke, Albert John and Amanda Binder Gettel.

He is survived by: his children, Sara Jeanne Gettel of Somerville and John William Gettel of Detroit; his siblings, Dick Gettel (Deb), Betty Hiner and June Patterson; his sisters-in-law, Julie Bordonaro (Sal), Betty Gettel and Nancy Zylema (John); and his nieces and nephews, Teri Parsell (Kip), Gina Gettel, Lori Gettel-Calery, Lynn LeBlanc (Jamie), Cari Brawley (John), Jennifer Payne (Desmond), Kristel Ziemba (Dennis), Jamie Hiner, Holly Vermaire (Brian), Teresa Hammer (Dave), Lou Bordonaro (Heather) and Clara Zidarevich (Alex).
