He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Herrema and Hermina Herrema; his parents-in-law, John and Kate Buikema; his wife Teresa; his brother Harv; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Herrema, Martin Geelhoed and Don Kramer.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Herrema, Richard Herrema (Pamela), Randall Herrema (Sheri), James Herrema (Sharon) and Ronald Herrema (Ximena); and his siblings, Jun Herrema (Carrie), Nelson Herrema (Jean), Arland Herrema (Linda), Bea Geelhoed, Ruth Postma (Floyd) and Marian Kramer. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
