He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn; his son Kevin; and his siblings, David Geerligs and Louise Idema. He is survived by: his children, Gary (Courtney Geerligs), Shelly (Marv DeGroot), Kirk (Annette Geerligs), Mark (Ronda Geerligs) and Joy (Paul Gorman); his sister Kathleen (Tony VanZanten); and his siblings-in-law, Joanne Geerligs and Ken Idema. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
