He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Elder and Maxine Elder (Botkins). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Lee Burgess; his children, Robert Scott Elder (Elly) of Durand, Lee Peterson of Iron Mountain and Loren Elder of Byron; and his granddaughters, Danielle Madrigal (David) and Morgan.
