It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Pierce of Byron, Michigan, born in Howell, Michigan, who passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George A. Fortress and Mildred H. Fortress (Hite); and her siblings, Helen Crawford, Devon Matthewson and Jim Matthewson.

She is survived by: her husband Jack Lee Pierce; her sons, Jeffrey (Joanne), Troy and Barry Pierce (Richard Kahn); her granddaughter Sydney Pierce Kahn; and her siblings, George Fortress (Laurie) and Carolyn Mullaly (Tom).

Memorial contributions are suggested to Shiawassee Humane Society.
