It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Marie MacKay of Byron, Michigan, born in Battle Creek, Michigan, who passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Duane J Potter and Eloise Potter (Ford); her husband Charles MacKay; her children, Andy MacKay (Julie), Tad MacKay (Joni), Michael MacKay, Denise Badgero (Doug), Barbara Hubbard (David), Lora MacKay (Doug Ringler), Sydnee Whitehead (Heath), Sharon Fort (Patrick), Jacey McDowell and Silena MacKay; her sisters, Cheryl Staszczak, Susan Johns and Gail; and her siblings-in-law, Janet Rourke (John) and Dale MacKay.
Because of her love of children, and the incredible care she and her family received from every staff member they encountered at Hurley Medical Center, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hurley Children's Miracle Network.
