It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katherine Lucille Weycker of Burton, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on April 28, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Jarboe and Winifred Jarboe (Brockriede); her former husband Robert Leonard Weycker; her spouse Thomas Burns; her children, Louise Anne Weycker and Joseph Martin Weycker; her son-in-law Dr. Charles Safley; her siblings, Lloyd Jarboe, Joan Zamaites (Earl) and Jean Wargo (Joseph); and her sister-in-law Dorothy Bagley.
She is survived by: her children, James of Hale, Robert (Edgar Velasquez), Ellen Safley of Grand Blanc, Margaret "Peggy" (Robert Merrell), Patricia (Kenneth Butters) and Theresa (Greg Hayes); her grandchildren, Amy (Troy Monroe), Michael (Tania Lanczok), Matthew Lanczok, Laura (Scott Visser), Alyssa (Matthew Rogers) and David Butters (Kaylee Schrader); her great grandchildren, Ava, Victoria, Ariana, Acasia, Lucy and Gabriella; and her sister-in-law Helen Jarboe of Lupton, Michigan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (SSIHM) Retirement Fund, Holy Redeemer Outreach Program or St. Francis Prayer Center.
