She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Forrester and Geneva Forrester (Helm); her husband Robert Horton; her siblings, Patricia Covington, Carl E. Forrester and Fredrick Forrester; and her granddaughter Amari Hope Smith.

She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Horton (Amanda) of Buchanan, Michigan and Michael (Ashley Kidd) of Penhook, Virginia; her grandchildren, Bobbi Horton, Tyler Smith (Nichole), Alyssa Collins (Tony), Desmond Harris (Kaysha Deeds), Aidan Harris, Kirston Smith and Wiley Horton; her great grandchildren, Grace, Carley, Brodie, Kaniyah, Kinzlee, Paisley, Jaydon, Gracelinn and Kyle; and her siblings, Sylvia Boyer (David), Dean Forrester (Jeanette), Debbie Horton (Donnie) and Randy Forrester (Dottie). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
