She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson Melott and Josephine Melott (Shaw); and her husband Charles Skaggs, Sr. She is survived by: her children, Charles Jr (Stacey) and Deborah Thomas (Gary); her siblings, Judy Roth, Sandy Hoskins and Jane Hier (Mike); and her grandchildren, Ryan, Amanda and Allyson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
