She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold C. German and Buelah E. German (Norris); her stepmother Dorothy German; her sons, Donald and Joseph Smoker; her grandson Mickenzie Smoker; and her siblings, Lois Avery, Donald, Terrence and Ronald German.

She is survived by: her children, Christine Cary (Dick) of Bronson, Joan Hurley (Dave) of Bronson, Lu Ann Nelson (Doug) of Adrian, Kevin Smoker of Bronson, Pam Miller (Dennis) of LaGrange, IN, Ken Smoker (Ann) of Coldwater and Micky Smoker of Bronson; her grandchildren, Jennifer Zepke (Chris), Betsy Feinberg (Jeff), Lori Tabor (Eddie), Kristopher Hurley (April), Kelly Hurley (Thomas Hart), Dana Eisinger (Joel), Grant Nelson, Matthew Miller (Skye), Katelyn Yoder (Brett), Carlee Smoker (Sawyer Maddox), Brent Smoker, Emilee Smoker, Tyler Smoker (Darcy) and Brooke Kline (Mykal); and her close friend Wylla German. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, her many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Maple Lawn Activity Program or the Coldwater Girls' Basketball Program.
