She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sparkman and Essie Mae Sparkman (Baker); and her brothers, Harold Sparkman, James Sparkman and William Sparkman.

She is survived by: her husband James Johnston; her children, Mark Johnston (Pam Marvin), Debbie Blinstrub (Bob Blinstrub) and Doug Johnston; her grandchildren, Jennifer Johnston, McKenzie Johnston BenEliyahu (Jason BenEliyahu), Paul Marvin, Mike Blinstrub (Crissy Blinstrub), Matt Blinstrub (Leah Blinstrub), Rebecca Blinstrub, Rachael Blinstrub, Mark Blinstrub, Elena Johnston, James Johnston and Isabella Johnston; and her great grandchildren, Abigail BenEliyahu, Henry Blinstrub, Ben Blinstrub, Will Blinstrub, Carolyn Blinstrub and Rosalie Blinstrub. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
