He is survived by: his spouse Sylva Bassmagian; his children, Shant Bassmagian, Viken Bassmagian (Tania), Vatche Bassmagian (Katherine Kallasides) and Vazken Bassmagian; and his grandchildren, Armen and Aren. He is also survived by his many relatives and friends.

In lieu of flower memorial donations are to the family (the family will dispense the donations to worthwhile organizations).
