He is survived by: his wife Lou Ann; his children, Jason Shane (Tracy Chandler) and Raeann Shane (Ronald Knoblock); his grandchildren, Erik and Samantha Smith; his sisters, Judy Engel and Mary Dorr; and his brother-in-law James Higbee. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews.
