He was predeceased by: his parent Lille Mae Valentine; his son Delores Valentine; his grandchild James Valentine Jr.; and his sisters, Shon Valentine, Patricia Green and Ronald.
He is survived by: his parent Carrie Willis; his children, Mary Harris of Benton Harbor, Rosetta Valentine of Benton Harbor, Carol Kelley of Benton Harbor, Shirley Valentine of Benton Harbor, Leanna Spanks and Willie Valentine; his sisters, Annie Sue Allen of Jonestown, MS, Ruby Jones, Cahokia and Deloris Morgan; and his close friends, Robert Harris and Tre. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
